“Our favorite biblical verse is 1 Timothy 4:12: ‘Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in life, in love, in faith and in purity.’”
Pastor Keith oversees children’s ministry programs offered through Kings Kids, TNT for youngsters in grades 1-4 and SWITCH for those in grades 5-6. Responsible for multiple weekly services held within each area, he also leads and develops volunteers which is so essential to the effectiveness of this special ministry. Pastor Keith also oversees various special events geared for kids and families. In addition, Pastor Keith performs weddings and funerals.
His wife, Becky, is also active at Celebration Church, where she leads weekend worship and various children’s ministry teams. She also teaches in TNT services.
The Schommers have been involved in children’s ministry for over 12 years, with responsibilities for weekly services, worship, camps, retreats, small groups, musicals and teams.
Pastor Keith served as an engineer for 14 years before transitioning to ministry as his chosen occupation in 2004 and joining our full-time staff. Becky worked in residence life development at St. Norbert College in De Pere, Wisconsin before becoming a full-time mom.
Pastor Keith holds a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from Michigan Technological University in Houghton, Michigan. Becky earned her bachelor’s degree in psychology at St. Norbert College in De Pere.
The couple has four children – Elizabeth, Hope, Christian and Savanna.
Cooking, photography and outdoor activities are among the family’s favorite pastimes. |
